Port of Leixões is the main gateway by sea to Porto – the city of the Port Wine and the appropriate place to welcome all passengers from cruise liners. Equipped with comfortable facilities for tourists, the Porto Cruise Terminal features two cruise terminals.
Leixões Passenger Terminal is a wooden construction that resembles a ship’s hull, and is considered an important architectural and historical heritage. Since April 2011, it is in operation a new cruise quay 340m long and 300m length for berth.
Since then, the biggest and the most glamorous cruise ships from the worldwide cruise fleet are welcome here, boosting the cruise tourism in the North of Portugal region.
The main building is under construction and it will be completed by March 2015 with a capacity for 2,500 passengers in turnaround.
