It is the region’s most famous and characteristic dish and, in 2014, it gives rise to a Food Fair entirely dedicated to it.
The “Lamprey Fair” or the “1st Flavors of Ponte de Lima and Lamprey Food Fair”, as it’s officially called, will make these delicacies for its admirers on February 21, 22 and 23 in Ponte de Lima.
Those who like or want to try this delicacy, need only visit one of the restaurants participating in the county’s event, or go to Expolima and request one of the lamprey dishes available on the menu.
Lamprey Bordelaise and Lamprey Rice are the two main specialties offered in these locations. You can always try this fish prepared in other ways.
