Porto is becoming a trending city. According to Air B'n'B, Porto is in the Top 5 Travel Trends for U.S. Travelers. They highlight tho city for the Baroque and Beaux-Arts architecture, but also for the wine and parties in summertime.

The city has also follow the demands of its tourists and, in recent years, it has registered a big increase in the number of hostels: only one option of this nature used to exist, but now there’s 26 spread around the city.

These spaces are carefully decorated and designed, despite their informal atmosphere, which fits with the profile of many of the city’s visitors. As well as accommodation, many hostels organize trips, parties, themed nights and other activities.

International recognition is common for Porto’s hostels, which is also the case for the rest of Portugal. Already in 2015, one of the city’s hostels, Invicta, has been voted the safest in Hostelworld’s Awards.
