Street entertainment and circus

Stroll through the city and be amazed by the Christmas lights and decorations, especially in Baixa do Porto, the city center. As part of the festive celebrations, General Humberto Delgado Square (opposite the Municipality building) will be lit up in an array of colours thanks to a 26 meter high and 14 meter wide Christmas tree.

Make sure to also head to either D. João I Square or Rotunda da Boavista to enjoy the temporary skating rinks. Young or old, a beginner or a pro, this is a must for anyone that just wants to have fun! So, let your imagination run wild, get covered in snow and practice those pirouettes.

Christmas is not the same without the circus, and that is why the ‘Monumental Circo’ will be returning to the Porto Coliseum for another year. This show is perfect for all ages and is sure to make Christmas even more magical for children and grown-ups alike.
