The Palácio das Artes – Fábrica de Talentos, located on the Largo de São Domingos in the city of Porto, will host the Feiras Francas on October 4th and 5th 2014. The Feiras Francas is an event which is known for displaying Portuguese products created by young designers and national workshops.
The modern-day Feiras Francas are inspired by fairs which were held in Porto on the first day of every month, a tradition which, according to the history books, began in 1451 and lasted 111 years.
This project, then, is a way of reviving the memory of times past and giving a new economic and commercial dynamic to the city of Porto. At these events, the work of young creators in various fields is presented along with dance, theatre and music performances. All the festivals have a theme which serves as a guide for the selection of the projects which will be exhibited in each edition.
Curious? Come and discover the new projects which will be made public and find out a little more about the cultural panorama of the city of Porto. Don’t miss it, it’s coming on October 4th and 5th.
