In the heart of Porto, Praça de D. João I will become one of the city's main World Cup gathering spots. Through a partnership between the Porto City Council and the Portuguese Football Federation, a free-entry Fan Zone will be set up to broadcast many of the matches from the tournament's group stage.

To mark the eve of São João celebrations, Portugal’s match on 23 June will be broadcast on a giant screen installed on the stage at Avenida dos Aliados, giving fans the chance to watch the national team in one of Porto’s most iconic settings.

Matosinhos will set up two free-entry Fan Zones for fans to watch all of Portugal’s matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Running from 11 June to 19 July, these viewing areas will give supporters the opportunity to follow every moment of the national team’s journey in the tournament.

The first location will be at Casa em Movimento, next to Florbela Espanca Municipal Library. The venue is being prepared to welcome families, groups of friends and football fans of all ages, offering a festive and safe environment to support Portugal.

The second Fan Zone will be located at Jardim de Santana, near the children's playground in Leça da Palmeira. Designed as a gathering place for the local community, the space aims to create an atmosphere of celebration and unity throughout Portugal’s World Cup campaign.

Santa Maria da Feira will celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the creation of “Praça Portugal”, a fan zone located at Praça Dr. Gaspar Moreira. Featuring a giant screen to broadcast Portugal’s matches, the venue aims to bring together fans of all ages in a festive atmosphere of support for the national team.

The official opening will take place on 10 June, Portugal Day, coinciding with Portugal’s friendly match against Nigeria. Broadcasts of Portugal’s three group-stage matches against DR Congo, Uzbekistan and Colombia have already been confirmed, with the initiative expected to continue should the national team progress further in the tournament.

Espinho is joining the nationwide support network for the Portuguese national team with the creation of the official “Vai Dar Portugal” Fan Zone, located on the seafront promenade next to the steps of Praia da Baía. Designed to provide fans with a unique World Cup experience, the venue will offer a vibrant atmosphere of football, community and celebration by the ocean.

Despite the time differences caused by the tournament being hosted in the United States, Mexico and Canada, the municipality has confirmed that all of Portugal’s matches will be shown live, regardless of kick-off time. The Fan Zone will feature a giant screen, social areas and dedicated infrastructure to ensure comfort, safety and free access for all spectators.

São João da Madeira is another municipality that has confirmed an official venue for fans to follow the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Fan Zone will be located at Praça Luís Ribeiro, in the city centre, providing supporters with a dedicated gathering place to watch the matches and cheer on Portugal in an atmosphere of community, celebration and football passion.

From 11 June to 19 July, the central square of the WOW complex in Vila Nova de Gaia will be one of the region’s premier destinations for watching the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Matches will be shown on giant outdoor screens, offering fans a unique viewing experience with stunning views over the Douro River and the city of Porto.

In addition to Portugal’s matches, WOW will broadcast several key fixtures throughout the tournament, bringing together football fans from different countries in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. With its restaurants, terraces and leisure spaces, the venue is set to become one of the most attractive places to experience the excitement of the World Cup in Northern Portugal.

In addition to the confirmed Fan Zones, football fans will also be able to watch World Cup matches in a wide range of bars, cafés and restaurants across cities such as Braga, Guimarães and other municipalities throughout Porto and Northern Portugal. While many venues have yet to announce their official schedules, numerous establishments are expected to broadcast the tournament’s biggest matches, particularly Portugal’s games, offering a more relaxed and intimate atmosphere for supporters to enjoy the action.
